We’re delighted to announce that from 1st September we will be able to welcome back all our valued customers, diners and drinkers alike, to the Kilpeck Inn.

We have given a lot of thought on how best to reopen, making sure we keep everyone as safe as possible while making the experience feel as normal, relaxed and welcoming as you would expect.

We have removed some tables in order to give more space between tables and all guests will be seated on arrival to avoid gathering at the bar.

You can use the QR code to ‘check in’ using the NHS Track & Trace app on your phone, or alternatively you can give us your contact details which will be safely stored for 21 days.

We have installed hand santiser points and all staff will wear protective face coverings, as well as ensuring additional cleaning and sanitising procedures are carried out regularly.

It’s always best to book in advance but we will always accommodate ‘walk ins’ when we can.

We are so pleased to be back to doing what we do best, serving delicious, freshly prepared, and locally sourced food along with local ales and ciders and the finest wines.

Ross and the Kilpeck team

Located in the historic village of Kilpeck in the heart of the beautiful south Herefordshire countryside, the Inn offers the best local and seasonal food, real ales and fine wines in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Kilpeck is famous for its beautiful Romanesque church which is just a few minutes’ walk from the inn. The Inn itself has held a central role in village life for over 250 years and after an extensive refurbishment project re-opened in 2010 as a perfect example of a contemporary country inn.

Come and sit by the fireside and enjoy a pint of local ale, have a light lunch in the bar or enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room, or stay the night in one of our luxurious, crisp and comfortable ensuite bedrooms.

The kitchen at the Inn is managed by head chef and general manager Ross Williams who, together with his team, champions the best local and seasonal produce. Ross sources as much as possible from nearby artisan and award-winning suppliers and producers for his menus.

As well as our main menu, a selection of sandwiches is available at lunchtimes, and we are continuing to offer a takeaway menu Monday-Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. Our popular Sunday lunch is served until 3.30pm every weekend. For reservations call us on 01981 570 464.

The Kilpeck Inn’s house ale is the popular ‘Butty Bach’ from Herefordshire’s Wye Valley Brewery. In addition, a regularly changing guest ale showcases the best local microbreweries as well as national favourites. Two local ciders, Stowfords Press and Robinsons, are available on draft, as well as bottled cider from Ty Gwyn just up the road. The Inn has a fantastic range of spirits, including many gins from award-winning local producers Williams Chase, Haven Distillery and Gun Dog Gin, as well as Welsh whiskies from the nearby Penderyn distillery.

Our wine list features a wide selection of reds and whites, including many available by the glass, as well as Welsh wines from White Castle Vineyard and Herefordshire wines from Tudor Manor.

The Inn has four luxury en-suite letting rooms and was recently named by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s ’10 Perfect Country Pubs With Rooms’.

Garron: A standard twin room (2 x 3’ single beds) with en-suite shower room

Dore: A standard double room (5’ king size bed) with en-suite bathroom and shower and a built-in wardrobe

Wye: A superior double room (5’ king size bed) with en-suite bathroom, shower and desk

Monnow: A large deluxe double room (6’ super-king size bed) with en-suite bathroom and shower, desk and sofa

If you are looking for a private space for a special meal then The Kilpeck Inn has a private dining room which can seat up to 16 people. If you have a larger party then please call us to discuss other options.

Our private dining room is also available to hire by the day for meetings or other private events to suit your individual needs.
