Located in the historic village of Kilpeck in the heart of the beautiful south Herefordshire countryside, the Inn offers the best local and seasonal food, real ales and fine wines in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Kilpeck is famous for its beautiful Romanesque church which is just a few minutes’ walk from the inn. The Inn itself has held a central role in village life for over 250 years and after an extensive refurbishment project re-opened in 2010 as a perfect example of a contemporary country inn.
Come and sit by the fireside and enjoy a pint of local ale, have a light lunch in the bar or enjoy a delicious meal in the dining room, or stay the night in one of our luxurious, crisp and comfortable ensuite bedrooms.
The kitchen at the Inn is managed by head chef and general manager Ross Williams who, together with his team, champions the best local and seasonal produce. Ross sources as much as possible from nearby artisan and award-winning suppliers and producers for his menus.
As well as our main menu, a selection of sandwiches is available at lunchtimes, together with a short, fixed price lunch menu. Our popular Sunday lunch is served until 3.30pm every weekend. For reservations call us on 01981 570 464.

The Kilpeck Inn’s house ale is the popular ‘Butty Bach’ from Herefordshire’s Wye Valley Brewery. In addition, a regularly changing guest ale showcases the best local microbreweries as well as national favourites. Two local ciders, Stowfords Press and Robinsons, are available on draft, as well as bottled cider from Ty Gwyn just up the road. The Inn has a fantastic range of spirits, including many gins from award-winning local producers Williams Chase, Haven Distillery and Gun Dog Gin, as well as Welsh whiskies from the nearby Penderyn distillery.
Our wine list features a wide selection of reds and whites, including many available by the glass, as well as Welsh wines from White Castle Vineyard and Herefordshire wines from Tudor Manor.
The Inn has four luxury en-suite letting rooms and was recently named by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s ’10 Perfect Country Pubs With Rooms’.
